- Education Volunteers: Our education volunteers assist our experienced teaching staff in providing hands-on educational experiences to students at their schools or at the Sanctuary.
- Programs Volunteers: Programs volunteers help guide our educational and nature-oriented programs at the Sanctuary alongside our experienced education staff.
- Be a Good Egg Outreach Volunteers: Work alongside our Be a Good Egg Outreach Tech to educate beachgoers on the importance of sharing the shore with nesting shorebirds on the beach. Training is provided. Weekends throughout the summer.
- Teen Conservation Ambassadors: Our Teen Conservation Ambassadors program is for students aged 13 through high school seniors who are interested in getting involved in hands-on conservation work and environmental projects on Long Island. Some exciting opportunities have included garden projects, creating fishing line recycling bins, building shelters for nesting terns, and more! Learn more about this program.
We are also happy to accomodate larger volunteer groups through offices, schools, and other interested groups. If you're looking for a way to connect your group with the local community, develop team-building skills, or just get outside, email us at trsac@audubon.org to plan a volunteer day!
